Wrapping up our first week

Events completely overtook our plans this week, but we are ready to get back to work.

In the next few days we’ll offer some specific suggestions to you — give you something to do, if you’re up for it — so keep an eye on that space above for a “Take Action” page. It will be a modest place to start, relative to how far behind other cities we are, but better late than never, no?

I also will make good on my threat to update the squishy post. [done!] Yes, agreed, all further use of the word squishy shall be kept to a minimum.

Finally, we want to share with you that we have indeed sent a correction request to the Washington Post. Please think good thoughts that we may succeed.

If not, we will have no choice, do you see? It will be squishy this, squishy that. Squishy, squishy… Help us!

Thank you again for your support.

Word is getting out, thanks to Greenpoint’s miss heather!

miss Heather and her friend (a Greenpoint clergywoman) arranged the first “by request” NYC bed bug seminar, by lobbying the HPD to hold a session in their bedbugged neighborhood, where one would have hoped they’d have planned a session anyway. It’s happening May 6th, and wise miss Heather is encouraging everyone to attend.

The HPD bed bug workshop in Greenpoint will be conducted May 6, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m at…
