Bed Bugs Suck

Well.

You cannot protect yourself from a bed bug infestation with a mattress encasement.

You can certainly get bed bugs even if you have a mattress encasement installed. Bed bugs can harbor in the bed frame, in furniture (nightstands, chairs, bookcases, etc.), objects (lamps, radios, books, etc.) and in the structure (windows, baseboards, etc.) of your bedroom and your home.

In fact, bed bugs can harbor on the surface of the encasement.

Encasements are bed bug infestation management tools, not prevention devices.

Bed bugs do suck. That part is unobjectionable.
