11/20 – Money for bed bugs has a way of running out, though Reg Ayre says they’ve learned some things. Please share, Mr. Ayre. (Toronto)

11/19 – So, they are asking elderly and disabled ladies to throw away their mattresses and box springs, as part of 12 bed bug treatment prep requirements, and when they can’t, they propose to fine them $100. I’m wondering if these small bed bug tragedies that people are living every single day are something people just don’t notice. Bed bug fatigue already? Also, who knew the mattress encasement industry’s marketing prowess has failed to reach the gentle city of Mt. Vernon? (Mt. Vernon, NY)

11/19 – Landlord/tenant, management/labor, same difference for old Cimex l. Access-a-ride call center employees don’t want to work in bed bug-infested offices. The old nuisance pest has some rather destructive powers in society, for a nuisance pest. (NYC)

11/17 – Illinois State Representative Ken Dunkin (Chicago, 5th District) is discussing proposing legislation that will require landlords to use bed bug eradication methods that are guaranteed to work. This is good, because learning about bed bugs while trying to solve real problems is the best way to learn about the the real problem.

11/15 – NJ assemblywoman Joan Quigley plans to reintroduce the bed bug bill next year, since it’s pretty much dead.
